GENETIC GENEALOGY By interpreting autosomal DNA test results from most commercial DNA companies, I can help you to understand what they mean. Using DNA matches in conjunction with genealogy research to determine relationships, I can fill in your missing branches or find long lost family members. This type of research can be especially helpful for adoptees, people with unknown recent parentage events, and misattributed parentage events.
This research is done on an hourly basis. Regretfully, I am unable to estimate how many hours of research are required to achieve a specific result. Because of the nature of this type of research, I would suggest no less than 20-25 hours for projects where the main focus is to identify how a DNA match is related to you or someone else.
UNKNOWN PARENTAGE / ADOPTION Whether it’s navigating the process of requesting open adoption records with you, working to locate biological family with the little information you have, or using DNA to solve a mystery, I can help. My personal adoption experience and unique background and training in counselling allows me to assist you as you explore this sensitive and complex area.
RESEARCH PLAN DEVELOPMENT Sometimes you just need a road map to follow in your research. I can review your research to date as well as your supporting documentation, and formulate a written research plan. This includes a summary of background information, analysis, and a list of collections to search which you can follow to help you achieve your family history goals.
