Adoption Orders can be accessed through Manitoba Courts. *Note that if you were born in one province and the adoption took place in another, the original birth registration, sometimes called the “pre-adoption birth certificate”, will need to be requested from the province you were born in. Adoption orders and background history information can be requested from the adoption agency in the province in which the adoption took place.
Canadian Open Adoption Records Information Each province is responsible for their own post-adoption legislation and eligibility for open adoption records varies.
